For over a decade, personal trainer, Craig Huntington has been instructing clients in a program of truly meaningful exercises based on a philosophy of High Intensity Training. Clients exercise in a private, one-on-one studio setting using state-of-the-art strength training equipment.
Loss of muscle and bone tissue are the most serious of age related problems for the average man and woman. Slow speed high intensity strength training, is the only way to slow down, stop and even reverse this process.
By targeting the skeletal muscles and making them perform demanding work the body forced to produce an increase in strength and muscle mass. High Intensity Training accomplishes this by exercising muscles until they reach momentary failure within 30-90 seconds on a given exercise.
All exercises are performed consecutively with no rest until the workout is completed. This makes training sessions extremely intense, so it is crucial that they also be brief and infrequent.
Exercise does not produce anything. It is your body that produces the change that exercise merely stimulates. And it will only produce that change when given adequate rest.Exercise results are proportionate to the amount of intense muscular effort put forth, not the length of time spent training. The average training session lasts approximately 12 - 15 minutes and is only performed 2 - 3 times a week.
By making your muscles larger and stronger, you will in turn:
improve metabolism
enhance fat loss
maintain body leanness
improve cardiovascular health
enhance joint flexibility and stability
increase HDL (good cholesterol)
control blood sugar
improve endurance and stamina
High intensity strength training is, by far, the safest and most productive training approach ever created. This program works for everyone: men and women; children and seniors; highly competitive athletes and couch potatoes; the apparently healthy and those with serious medical conditions.
